Tatai, the next door boy, is very excited this morning. His father has bought him a bubble-floater. And he is floating bubbles with some cheers from his ecstatic father and over-zealous mother. The coloured bubbles are floating away,quite a few of them far and far off, before they burst and vanish right away.

A kite-runner is emerging out of a narrow lane as a red – and-green (a rare combination!) petkatti is gliding along the air. The kite-runner gives a wild chase.The cut-off petkatti eludes each of his attempts before surrendering to a bristle of long bamboo pole that the runner throws at it in some desperation. The kite- runner now holds aloft the kite with a wild grin.

Ronny is going out to the States after spending his somewhat long puja vacation here in India. His widowed mother is seeing him off coming out to the street. Ronny is waving back at his mother one last long wistful time from the gate of Ulhas. Tears roll down her eyes.

Kabhi alvida na kahna in music was playing in mellowed tone as Amitabh Bachhan declared the end of this year’s edition of KBC last night. The veteran actor cum stupendous television presenter stressed in moist eyes that every end preluded a scope for new beginning. The audiences clapped rapturously.

The old bubbles may burst; but they make room for another batch of coloured bubbles to float around in happy surge.
